Job Description – National Account Executive
Reporting to – Sales Director
Location – Hybrid, 3 days per week in London office with occasional travel to customers
As a National Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in building, managing and executing joint
business plans with key national Grocery retail partners. Supporting the Sales Director, this role is ideal
for a proactive and commercially driven individual. Someone with an analytical mindset with a passion
for the drinks industry and a flair for building strong, collaborative relationships.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & TASKS
• Support the Sales Director in the development and execution of strategic account plans.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with key retail partners to ensure strong brand
visibility and sales growth.
• Day to day management of the customer JBP, reporting key trends and observations to the
Sales Director.
• Analyse promotional performance to monitor and adjust forecasts appropriately and regularly
communicate these changes with all stakeholders.
• Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and maximise
account performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and finance, to deliver
seamless customer service and execute promotional activities.
• Assist in negotiations for pricing, promotions, and product listings, ensuring alignment with
business objectives.
• Monitor competitor activity and market developments, providing insights and
recommendations to the wider team.
• Owning responsibility for accuracy of data both internally and externally including but not
limited to product info and customer pricing.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Essential
• Proven experience in account management, sales, or a commercial
role within the FMCG or drinks industry.
• An understanding of the UK retail landscape, particularly the Grocery
retail sector.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical mindset and competence within Microsoft Excel including
the ability to model and interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced,
dynamic environment.
• A passion for wine and WSET qualification (or a willingness to
undertake) is highly desirable.
Preferred
• Wine or drinks experience/ background.
